1. 教师须正确理解学校的教学目标，掌握教材的教学方法，加强与学生及家长之间的沟通，调动学生学习中文的积极性. Teachers are expected to have a clear understanding of teaching in Chinese. They should master the goal and the methodology of teaching. They should communicate with parents and students to enhance the students’ initiative in the course of learning.

2. 教师必须在每学年开课两个星期前完成一份与教学大纲一致并经学校同意的教学计划. 在开课第一天或之前告知家长. Teachers are expected to produce teaching program in line with the guideline of the course and be approved by the school administration. This plan should be completed 2 weeks before the start of the classes and communicated to the parents at or before the first class time.

3. 教师必须提前进教室，准备好教学资料。不能提前下课. Teachers should come to class punctually with full preparation of the material. The class should not be dismissed ahead of the scheduled time.

4. 教师应组织好课堂教学，以灵活多样的教学方法，吸引学生的注意力，培养学生正确的学习态度。 Class room instruction should be well planned in various forms to attract attention of the students and to guide proper learning attitude of students.

5. 教师可根据学生的综合表现评选年终优秀学生。 Students should be graded according to their merits at the end of each term.

6. 教师须按时做好学生的出勤和学业成绩记录，以此作为每年向学生发放结业证书的依据. Attendance and merit records should be the basis of granting diplomas at the end of the program.

7. 教师经与家长商量后，有权建议程度差异较大的学生转至高班或低班就读。 Teachers would be permitted to assign students to a higher or lower class according to their grades in their current class, after discussion with their parents. CCA has the final say about the transfer.

8. 教师可以口试或笔试转学生，以决定该生是否适合在该班就读。 Teachers would decide whether students are qualified for certain classes determined by either oral or written test.

9. 教师有权要求家长参与教学，以利在家辅导学生学习。 Teachers have responsibility to require parents to participate in their children’s studies at home.

10. 家长会通常每年按需举行，主要征求家长对办学和教学的意见，教师应按需组织公开教学, 主要征求家长对办学和教学的意见. Parent-teacher conference would be held annually to discuss comments and suggestions for the class. Teachers would be expected to consult parents for feedback as parents are invited to attend and observe a class.

11. 老师因事请假, 应提前一星期通知校方教育委员或者校长, 以便有充分的时间安排代课老师. 教师可向学校推荐代课老师，学校最后决定 In case the teacher cannot attend class, he or she should notify the school administration a week ahead so a substitute can be arranged. In case of need for a substitute teacher emerges, teachers can submit a recommendation and the school administration will make the final determination.

12. 教师必须按时出席教师会议及学校联合会议。如不能出席，需事先通知。 Teachers are expected to attend teacher and school meetings. Teachers should notify the school administration if unable to attend these meetings.

13. 根据学校预算，教师有定量教学经费，主要采取实报实销，如有超额支出应预先申报，经审批后方可实施。Teachers would have a set budget for teaching. Teachers are expected to submit all teaching expenses. Should there be expense in excess of the budget, the school administration needs to

approve expenses before money can be used.

14. 学校在一些特殊的节日会有些活动, 希望教师主动安排, 鼓励学生参与.School would arrange activities for the festivity day each year. Teachers are expected to encourage students to participate.

15. 教师不得私自向学生收取任何费用。 Teachers are not permitted to collect extra fees from students.

16. 有自营生意的教师不得在课堂上向学生推销或广告其产品。 Any teacher engaging private business are not permitted to promote their own products in the class.

17. 教师若利用学校资源在课外向本校学生提供辅导，必须经过校方许可方可向学生收费。Any additional tutoring for students provided by the teachers using school resources should have the permission of the school administration before the teacher can collect any fees from students.
