We are looking for teachers for all kinds of extra activities, including but not limited to Art, Music, Chess, Kungfu, Math, Sports. Please contact us <\/span>general@charlottechineseacademy.org<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

3. Volunteer Opportunities \u81ea\u613f\u8005\u62db\u52df<\/b><\/p>\n

Charlotte Chinese Academy (CCA) is a non-profit organization.\u00a0 The success of our school is heavily dependent on our teachers and volunteers. In addition to offering various classes using simplified Chinese and Pinyin, throughout the year, CCA will also hold several events to promote Chinese culture and help more people to learn more about Chinese culture and language.\u00a0 We can never stop looking for volunteers to run the operation of school and organize cultural activities. We are also looking for youth volunteers, who are <\/span>1) ten years or older, 2) interested in volunteering, talented, and have time management 3) interested in Chinese language and culture<\/b>. Currently, CCA provides the following volunteer opportunities to youths<\/span>:<\/b><\/p>\n

  1. Annual Fall Picnic event<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Spring Festival event (similar to the Mid-Autumn event)<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. CCA website enhancement and social media updates<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Teaching Assistant<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are interested in volunteering your time to help CCA, please read our Youth Volunteer Handbook <\/a> and complete the Volunteer Application form.<\/a> \u00a0<\/strong>The deadline to sign up is April 30th.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    CCA volunteer hour approval process:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Complete CCA volunteer hour log sheet<\/li>\n
    2. Submit volunteer hour log sheet to one of the CCA volunteer advisors for review and approval. If you have multiple CCA advisors, just send all hours to one advisor.<\/li>\n
    3. If you have volunteering hours outside of CCA, please provide the evidence to CCA advisor<\/li>\n
    4. CCA advisor has the responsibility to review and approve\/reject the submitted hours.<\/li>\n
    5. CCA advisor has the responsibility to send all submitted volunteering hours to CCA for final review and verification<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Note:\u00a0<\/p>\n

      1. All CCA volunteers must submit CCA volunteer hours for review and approval.<\/span><\/p>\n

      2. CCA will not verify\/confirm any volunteer hours without receiving and reviewing the CCA volunteer hour log sheet.<\/p>\n

      The President\u2019s Volunteer Service Award is on a temporary pause, as decided by AmeriCorps effective May 27, 2025.<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

      CCA is a President\u2019s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) Certifying Organization. In 2022, CCA has been granted authority to give out the President\u2019s Volunteer Service Awards to our volunteers, and since then, CCA has been awarding our qualified volunteers<\/a> with the PVSA.\u00a0 Details of the requirements can be found on the <\/span>President\u2019s Volunteer Service Award website<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      • United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder)<\/li>\n\n\n\n

        CCA Eligibility, statisfyin one of the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. At least half of the volunteering hours are supported CCA activities, if qualified for the bronze level award. (Note: The hour counting is based on a 12-month period and age group.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Minimum bronze level volunteering hours are supported CCA activities, if qualified for the silver or higher level award<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. If any adult family member satisfies (a) or (b) within the last 4 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n
