Charlotte Chinese Academy (CCA) is a Presidential’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) Certifying Organization. In 2022, CCA has been granted authority to give out the Presidential’s Volunteer Service Awards to our volunteers. In 2003, the US President’s Council on Service and Civil Participation founded the Presidential’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the importance role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. CCA is one of these communities, serving the Charlotte communities since 1996. As a PVSA Certifying Organization, CCA has the ability to bestow Presidential recognition to our volunteers’ dedication and contributions, by the following levels of awards (based on the hours of volunteering):
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
